Count days between dates, or add and subtract days
10 days
The end date is after the start. Inclusive count: 11.

This date calculator answers two everyday questions. How many days fall between two dates, and what date do you land on if you add or subtract a number of days? Both use the calendar, including leap days. From 1 January 2024 to 11 January 2024 is 10 days apart, and the span covers 11 dates if you count both ends. The same start and end is zero days apart and one inclusive day.
If the end date is earlier, the gap is the same length and the result says the end falls before the start, so a reversed pair is not reported as an error. Dates must be real calendar days written as year, month, and day. 31 February and a slash-style date are rejected. Time of day is ignored. The count includes every calendar day, so weekends stay in the total.
Adding one day to 28 February 2024 lands on 29 February, because 2024 is a leap year. The same step in 2023 lands on 1 March. Subtracting days uses a negative count, so 1 March 2024 minus one day is 29 February 2024. The day count has to be a whole number from -100000 to 100000. Fractions and blank counts are refused.
The calculation runs in your browser and is not saved. It is a civil calendar count, not a business-day count, so holidays are included along with weekends. Do not use this page for a deadline whose rules skip those days. It also does not report months or years. Those longer units are a different question. For a timesheet measured in clock hours, use the hours calculator. A unix timestamp belongs on the timestamp converter, not here.

A date calculator counts days between dates or adds and subtracts days. An age calculator answers how old someone is from a date of birth. Use the age calculator for that question.
