How do I resize an image online for free?

Change the pixel size of a JPG, PNG, or WebP in the browser
The picture stays in this browser. JPG, PNG, and WebP only, up to 20 MB. Set pixels or a percent, then choose the picture. HEIC files belong on the HEIC page. This page changes dimensions.
Runs in your browser. No signup required.
Image Resizer changes how many pixels wide and tall a picture is. Resize image means exact pixels, a box to fit inside, or a percent of the original. Exact mode can turn 100 by 50 into 200 by 100. Fit-inside keeps the shape and does not enlarge a picture that is already smaller than the box. Percent mode keeps the shape too: 50 percent of a 4000 by 2000 photo is 2000 by 1000. This photo resizer is for dimensions.
JPG, PNG, and WebP files are accepted when the name and the file header agree. HEIC is refused, because that camera format belongs on its own page. The download is a JPG or a PNG. A WebP file saved as JPG or PNG is only a side effect of the download format you pick. If all you wanted was a different format, use the pages built for format changes. This page is for dimensions.
The picture stays in this browser. Empty files, renamed programs, and files over the size cap are refused. The new width times the new height has to stay under the pixel cap. Percent has to be a whole number above zero. A fractional pixel size is rejected. If the browser cannot draw the file, you get an error instead of a download. The result is checked to be a real JPG or PNG before it is saved.
JPG output has a quality number from 1 to 100 because that format needs one. PNG ignores it. A lower quality or a smaller pixel grid can look softer. Fewer bytes at the same pixel size is a different job, handled by the tool linked beside this page. Keep the original until the new size looks right.

No. An image resizer changes width and height (dimensions). An image compressor shrinks file size without owning the resize job. Use this page for resize image; use image-compressor when you only need a smaller file.
Yes. This tool owns dimensions/resize only—set width and height, then download. It is not the HEIC, WebP, or compress tool; convert or compress on those sibling pages if you need format or file-size changes.
No install is required. Use the free online image resizer / resize image tool in your browser, set dimensions, and download—no desktop app or account.
UtilGenie’s resize flow is built for browser-first use without signup. Prefer tools that process on your device when privacy matters, and avoid uploading sensitive photos to sites you don’t trust.
Resize here when you need specific width and height. Compress afterward on the image compressor if the file is still too large to share—don’t describe compress UX as this page’s primary job.
